Coroner determines man found in car shot himself

MIDDLE POINT, Ohio. (WOWO): More information has been released about a man who was found dead in a car in Van Wert County Wednesday.

The Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office says the 23 year old man died of a self-inflicted gun shot. The Lucas County Coroner’s Office said the man had injuries consistent with a suicide by self-inflicted gun shot.

The suicide reportedly happened while he was driving east on U.S. 30 near Middle Point. A 9mm handgun was recovered from the vehicle. The man was the only person in the vehicle.
