Coroner identifies man killed in Tuesday afternoon crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Allen County Coroner has released the identity of a man who was killed in a four-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on East Coliseum Blvd.

62-year-old Rickey Reisinger is the 29th traffic fatality of the year for Fort Wayne and Allen County. He died after his vehicle was slammed into by a car allegedly driven by 30-year-old Brody Brunson Sr. while Reisinger’s vehicle was stopped at a red light at the intersection with Parnell.

Reisinger’s cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma, and the manner of death has been ruled an accident.

Police say Brunson had been driving at a high rate of speed and never slowed down when he hit Reisinger’s SUV, which then led to a collision with two other cars.

Brunson allegedly fled the scene on foot, and later reported his vehicle stolen. He’s currently in police custody.
