County Calls for Moment of Silence

The Allen County Board of Commissioners is calling on citizens to take part in a moment of silence tomorrow.  People throughout the county are being asked to join with the people of the state of Connecticut tomorrow in honoring the victims of last week’s tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School.  The moment of silence will begin at 9:30 a.m. in memory of the twenty students and six school staff members who lost their lives.  The commissioners made the request in response to a letter sent by Connecticut governor, Dannel Malloy, asking other states to participate in this time of reflection and mourning.
