Coyote Population More than Doubles in Indiana

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Coyotes are becoming more of a problem in Indiana urban areas.

The DNR says coyotes are running through every Indiana county and the population has more than doubled in the last 20 years.

Family pets are at risk, but coyotes are known to be afraid of people. It's important to call police or animal control if you spot a coyote running around town or in your backyard.
