Crash on I-69 Causing Major Slowdowns

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Just before 2 a.m. Thursday, emergency crews responded to a crash on I-69 northbound near the 319 mile-marker, north of the Union Chapel exit. Officials say a semi with two trailers jackknifed, flipping one of the trailers. The incident caused a chain reaction with another semi. This, along with a subsequent fuel leak, slowed morning traffic on I-69 for hours. Crews are still working on clearing the scene. We'll have more information as it becomes available.

Several other accidents were reported on I-69 this morning due to snow and black ice on the roadways. Police ask that you slow down and leave yourself plenty of extra time as you leave the house this morning.
