Defiance man killed in crash

DEFIANCE, Ohio (WOWO): A 34-year-old Defiance man was killed after his motorcycle ran into a pick-up truck in Defiance County yesterday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 34-year-old Joshua Zimmer was heading westbound on Watson Road at about 4:45pm when a pickup driven by 58-year-old Phillip Wagner of Defiance turned in front of him at the intersection with Fullmer Road in Highland Township.

Zimmer, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was thrown from his bike and pronounced dead at the scene. Wagner was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The crash is still under investigation.
