Defiance man killed in possible drunk driving crash

WILLIAMS COUNTY, Ohio (WOWO): A 33-year-old man is dead after a one-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.

The Ohio State Police tells the Journal Gazette alcohol was probably a factor in the crash that took the life of Ronald Wolfrum of Defiance. He had been driving on State Highway 34 near Stryker at about 12:10pm when his vehicle went off the road and overturned several times.

Neither he nor his passenger, a 33-year-old woman from Defiance, were wearing seat belts. They were both ejected. The woman was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital and is in critical condition. Wolfrum was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ohio State Police reports at least seven people died over Labor Day weekend on Ohio roads.
