DeKalb County Man Crashes Into Creek

FORT WAYNE, Ind,. (WOWO): A DeKalb County man reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and ended up in a creek early Wednesday morning.

Our partners at 21Alive say 55 year old John Miller was driving on County Road 72 west of Duvall Road when he drifted across the center line, hit a bump near the Metcalf creek bank, and went 15 feet into the Metcalf ditch.

Miller had to struggle to get out of the vehicle due to the high water as well as the position of the car. He says he fell asleep while driving home from a night shift at Wal-Mart.

Miller was treated for chest pain at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
