Recent Missing Fort Wayne Man Dies

FORT WAYNE, Ind,. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man who recently went missing has died.

 

71 year old DeWayne Trim suffered from Alzheimers and his condition worsened after he walked away from home in mid-March, according to a statement his wife made to the Journal-Gazette.

 

Trim walked away from his home on U.S. 24 in far southwest Fort Wayne in mid-March and was later found in a ravine by a police search dog.

 

Despite going missing, he was not the subject of a Silver Alert as he did not meet the criteria for one. There have been five Silver Alerts in total this year alone, with three not meeting the criteria.
