DeKalb police are warning residents about sex offenders on Halloween

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office wants everyone to have a fun and safe Halloween. That includes keeping children safe from sex offenders.

“We do the best we can in making sure sex offenders live where they tell us, so it’s crucial that our citizens visit the website,” DeKalb County Sheriff Don Lauer said.

On the website ICrime Watch, any Hoosier can type in an address and see what sex offenders live in a specified range of the residence.

People can also sign up for free automatic email notifications when a sex offender moves within a radius of any address you register.

For more information, call the DeKalb County Sex Offender Registration Officer Dave Bundy at 260-925-3365.
