Disorderly Shipshewana Man Fought Police Before Being Tasered

LAGRANGE, Ind. (WOWO): A disorderly Shipshewana man got into a scuffle with police after resisting arrest.

Friday, July 10th, deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department got a call of an intoxicated man acting disorderly. Police arrived to 9035 W 275N and found Charles Kryder was said to have been pushing family members and also broke a windshield with his elbow.

Police tried to talk to Kryder, but he yelled at officers and tried to fight them as they attempted to handcuff him. Kryder forcefully resisted. Deputies eventually had to use a taser on Kryder to get him under control.

They say Kryder caused minor injuries to the two deputies on the scene. He was arrested and booked into the LaGrange County Jail on two counts of Battery Causing Bodily Injury to a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Disorderly Conduct.
