LAKE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): State police responded yesterday to a call of a man who went missing in a pond after he had been fishing there with his dad. Around 1:20 P.M. yesterday, divers with the Indiana State Police recovered 20-year-old Jelani Louis of Merrillville, in a pond off the Indiana Toll Road in Lake County. He had been underwater for more than an hour and was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
