Don’t Forget About Pets During Heat Wave

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Animal Care and Control has issued a hot weather alert for all animal owners. Because of the recent high temperatures and heat index, the group wants to remind everyone that animals must have a shady place to rest and a lot of water. Heavy panting, glazed eyes, and rapid pulse are signs that your pet may be suffering from heat stress, and you should contact a veterinarian immediately.
