Drunken Driver Gets Prison Sentence

The drunk driver who slammed into five vehicles last September has been sentenced to 11 years behind bars, with seven of those suspended.

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, 29-year-old Gabriel Biddle crashed into four minivans at the intersection of Maplecrest and Evard Roads. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Police say that’s when his blood alcohol content was tested. It was 0.52%, that’s more than six times the legal limit.

Biddle has to pay $48,000 in restitution and his license will be suspended for five years.
