Early Morning Fort Wayne Stabbing

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are investigating a Saturday morning stabbing.  Police received a report of females screaming around the 2600 block of Fairfield View Place.  Around 4 a.m. officers were flagged down at Fairfield and Creighton by a driver that was transporting a female stabbing victim.

Medics then took her to a hospital where she remains in critical condition.

Officers learned the stabbing was a result of a domestic disturbance between Michael R. Johnson of Fort Wayne and the stabbing victim.  Johnson left the scene of the stabbing but was later found at his home and taken without incident.  He has been jailed on a preliminary felony charge of Aggravated Battery.

The incident is still being investigated.
