DELAWARE TOWNSHIP, Oh. (WOWO):  A one vehicle fatal traffic crash happened Friday night around 9:00PM on Defiance-Paulding County Line Road.   Sylvester Ankney of Cecil, Ohio lost control of his car and traveled off the north side of the road.  He over-corrected and traveled into the eastbound lane.  He lost control again and went off the north side of the road and into a ditch. 

The vehicle overturned several times.  Mr. Ankney died at the scene.  He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Alcohol does not appear to have played a role in the crash.  The Ohio State Highway Patrol – Defiance Highway Patrol Post says the crash remains under investigation.
