FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The East Allen County School board is considering a drug testing program for middle and high school students.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, the program was introduced at Tuesday night's board meeting for students in 7th through 12th grade.

If approved, East Allen would give out random drug tests to students who drive to school and play school sports, along with other extracurricular activities.

The board will vote on the proposal June 2nd and if approved, the policy would take effect next school year.
