Election board scrambling to correct absentee ballot error

(Darrin Wright/1190 WOWO 107.5 FM)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Some Allen County voters have received an incorrect absentee ballot.

The County Election Board says they mistakenly sent out absentee ballots to 180 voters without instructions on how to actually vote for their preferred candidates.

Elections Director Beth Dlug tells the Journal Gazette that means some people might have accidentally used a form only meant for overseas and military voters.

The Board has apologized for the error and says if your ballot was one of the botched ones, you should get instructions in the mail by tomorrow on how to get a new ballot.
