FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Another poll, but the same result.

Indiana US Senator Joe Donnelly and Republican challenger Mike Braun are practically tied in the latest poll of likely voters, which was released Monday by the Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics at Purdue Fort Wayne.

Donnelly currently has the support of 41% of those who took the poll, compared to 40% pulling for Braun. That 1% gap is well within the margin of error.

Downs Center director Andy Downs tells the Journal Gazette 8% are supporting Libertarian Lucy Brenton and 11% are undecided, and that could have a huge impact on the race’s outcome.

Several recent polls have had similar results, with either Braun or Donnelly enjoying a slight lead that is within the margin of error, making the race statistically a “dead heat.”
