Ethics Panel Considering Possible Job Changes

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ The State Ethics Commission is taking up questions from officials considering leaving their state jobs.

The panel plans to review ethics questions submitted by State Board of Accounts Examiner Bruce Hartman and Department of Insurance Deputy Commissioner Logan Harrison. Hartman has asked for clearance to start a consulting firm and Harrison is considering job offers from an insurance lobbying association and a group that owns a series of insurance companies.

The panel is also planning to review a separate request from Pence's new chief lobbyist. Sean Keefer wrote the panel asking if his wife's job working at IU Health on areas including the federal health care law would be a conflict of interest for him.
