Father Admits to Beating Infant Son

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): In Allen County Superior Court, Andrei Blakesley admitted to beating his 3-month-old son and causing lifelong injuries.

Blakesley beat his son in June and admitted to not taking the child to the hospital. As a result, the child will likely suffer from developmental disabilities.

The 24-year-old plead guilty to battery on Thursday. In addition to the severe injuries the baby suffered after the beating, Blakesley said he may have also dropped his son at one point, causing more injuries to the child's head and face.

According to the Journal Gazette, Blakesley will face eight to 12 years in prison and must continue to pay child support.
