Fever Capture First WNBA Title

 

 

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Tamika Catchings scored 25 points last night as the Indiana Fever beat the Minnesota Lynx 87-78 to earn their first WNBA championship. Catchings averaged nearly 25 points a game en route to becoming Finals MVP. The Fever won even though No. 2 scorer Katie Douglas sat out most of the series with a knee injury.
