Fire Destroys Old Hooters Restaurant Building

Firefighters are battling a huge blaze at the site of the old Hooters restaurant on E. Coliseum Blvd. According to our news partners at 21 Alive, fire crews got there at around 6:40 p.m.  On arrival, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from building.  Portions of Coliseum Boulevard and Clinton Street were shut down to traffic as firefighters worked to put out the fire.
