FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  A family of five made it out of their home safely on Saturday evening after a house fire started in their living room. 

Three children and two adults were able to escape without injury when a fire broke out on the first story of their home.  Crews made it to 5318 Standish Drive on the cities south east side around 8:49 p.m. and found the fire at the front of the home.  After about 11 minutes the fire was out and no one was hurt.  

The home took heavy water and smoke damage.  The fire is under investigation.
