Flooded Streets Cause Stranded Residents in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WOWO): Police in Evansville say officers had dozens of calls about vehicles stuck or abandoned on flooded streets when storms swept through the city. The National Weather Service says more than four inches of rain fell in Evansville during yesterday’s storm. City police say they received 12 calls to rescue people trapped by road flooding and 27 calls about other vehicles stuck or left behind in the flooded streets. No injuries were reported.
