Former 122nd Fighter Wing Commander Takes New Role

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The former commander of the local Air National Guard base has landed in a new role.

Col. David Augustine has been announced as the chairman of the Northeast Indiana Defense Industry Association. The NIDIA works with government agencies and elected officials to foster the defense opportunities.

He also will serve as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Stryke Industries.

Stryke builds products for military aircraft. Augustine led the 122nd Fighter Wing in Fort Wayne for about three years, before retiring for health concerns, in September.
