PLAINFIELD, Ind. (AP): A former Indianapolis police officer convicted of killing a man and seriously injured two other people while driving drunk in his police cruiser is now in prison.
 
       David Bisard was transferred Wednesday to the Indiana Department of Correction's Reception Diagnostic Center in Plainfield. The center in the western Indianapolis suburb evaluates inmates on where they should serve their sentences.
 
       Bisard was sentenced last week to 13 years in prison after being convicted on charges including driving with a blood-alcohol content above 0.15 percent when in a fatal accident. The legal limit in Indiana is 0.08 percent.
 
       The August 2010 crash in Indianapolis killed 30-year-old motorcyclist Eric Wells.
 
       Bisard likely will remain in Plainfield until an upcoming Marion County trial on a separate drunken driving charge.
