PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a fatal ATV crash that claimed the life of a Montezuma, Indiana man. 20-year-old Tyler Smith had been traveling on Apple Road just north of Mecca on Friday when, according to officers, he apparently lost control of the ATV and left the road. A nearby resident heard the crash and found Smith lying next to the road. Smith was taken to a hospital by EMS and then airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital. He was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon. Officers say Smith was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
