FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne’s new canal boat is now ready for business.

Mayor Tom Henry and other officials dedicated the 1840s-era boat, named “Sweet Breeze,” with a special christening ceremony Tuesday at Headwaters Park West.

The group Friends of the Rivers raised over $600,000 to both purchase the boat and make it accessible to disabled passengers.

The News-Sentinel reports that cruises up and down the St. Marys River take about 90 minutes and cost $30 for adults, with kids ticket prices ranging from $10 to $5, depending on age.
