FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Fire Department was busy with two house fires Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
The first fire took place at about 9 PM Saturday on the 3100 block of Webster Street near Wildwood Avenue. Smoke and fire was coming out of the home with crews arrived.
A neighbor was treated at the hospital with smoke inhalation, and two pets were rescued from the home. No one else was home at the time, and the fire was contained to the kitchen and attic.
A few hours later, a little after 3 A.M. Sunday morning, fire crews were back at it again battling a fire on the 4200 block of Avondale Drive near McKinnie Avenue. Crews found heavy fire throughout the home.
No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported.
Both fires are under investigation.
