Fort Wayne food bank running low

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A local food bank is running low.

The Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana is running a short supply of both protein and vegetables. CEO John Wolf tells our Partners in News at 21Alive the best time of year for them is the holidays, but right now is the worst, due to vacations or other distractions keeping people from donating food.

Wolfe says it’s gotten so bad the food bank has started buying their own food and freezing it to try and make it last longer.

To help, donate online at the food bank’s website, call 260-447-3696, or visit their offices at 999 East Tillman Road.
