Allen County Auditor Says No Money For Appeals

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Officials in Allen County are expecting about a million dollars less in income tax revenue for next year.

As a result, five departments in the county are being told there's no money left for budget appeals. The departments include the 911 Call Center, Allen County Juvenile Center, Superior Court, Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Surveyor.

The Journal Gazette says that since health insurance claims were down, County Auditor Tera Klutz says there should be extra money in that fund, which could put them at an advantage.
