FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — The city of Fort Wayne is a few raindrops away from setting a record for the month of June.

As of midnight Saturday, the city had received 8.45 inches of rain so far this month. It received 0.09 inches of rain on Sunday morning, bringing the total to 8.54 inches. The record is 8.55 inches, set in 2000.

The third rainiest June in Fort Wayne history was in 1958, when 8.29 inches fell. Fourth was 1981, with 7.96 inches.
