Fort Wayne Komets Game Postponed Due To Strike

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Saturday’s Fort Wayne Komets game has been postponed due to a player strike that began on Friday.

According to 21 Alive News, the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, representing the team’s entire roster, announced that it would go on strike on Friday if a new collective bargaining agreement was not reached with the ECHL.

The Friday, December 26 game against the Indy Fuel was postponed, making Saturday’s game the second to be postponed.

All tickets for the original game will be honored for a rescheduled game in the future. Refunds will also be available.

There is currently no word on whether Sunday’s game against the Kalamazoo Wings will commence.
