FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Friends at Humane Fort Wayne celebrated their 3,000th adoption over the holiday.

A line was waiting outside of the door before 7 a.m. as the shelter welcomed a new litter of Great Dane/Mastiff puppies. 

All four three-month-old puppies went to their forever homes on Wednesday, just in time to spend Christmas with their new families. 

Pickup for Holiday Rovernights also began on Wednesday, sending shelter dogs to loving homes for the holiday. 

This year, Humane Fort Wayne had so many families wanting to participate in the program that it had to be closed off early.
