FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man who describes himself as a white supremacist admitted to killing a black man, police say.

Aaryn Snyder, 31, is charged with murder. Police say he admitted to stabbing Samuel L. Hardix to death in late August, according to our news partners at Fort Wayne’s NBC.

On Sept. 19, Snyder asked an officer if they could talk. He then admitted to stabbing Hardix about 17 times. He said he killed him because Hardix is black and he is in a white group, according to police.

Police say he said this wasn’t the first person he killed and he had been “patched.” He showed off his tattoos, which includes a swastika. Saying he’s been in the organization since 2003.

At some point, police say he told them repeatedly this was a hate crime. He is being held without bond.
