Fort Wayne man arrested after armed robbery at McDonald’s

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Allen County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man after an armed robbery at McDonald’s.

Lawrence Hill, 21, of Fort Wayne was arrested on preliminary charges of robbery and battery, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.

At about 11 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the McDonald’s at 10310 Illinois Road on reports of an armed robbery. Police say a man entered the restaurant wearing a mask and had a handgun. He then grabbed an employee’s cell phone and left without taking any money.

Police identified the suspect as Hill and arrested him later at his house.

Nobody was seriously injured during the crime. Police are still investigating the robbery.
