Fort Wayne Police Investigating Reports of Fake Cops

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police are looking into three separate incidents where someone has pulled over drivers while impersonating police.

Police spokesman Mike Joyner says they all happened on Christmas Eve on River Cove Trail and Cold Springs Blvd, involving a dark blue vehicle with a red flashing light on the front dash, driven by two white, “clean cut” males. Each time they would follow closely behind vehicles, in one case parking across the street and blocking traffic. They'd identify themselves as police or CIA, demand a driver's ID or social security number, and in one case forced a woman to the ground and threatened to shoot her before leaving.

If you encounter these men, call police immediately.
