FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A local reverend is calling on answers following a recent shooting on the southeast side of Fort Wayne this week.

Reverend Carlton Lynch at New Beginnings Church is hosting a “Black Lives Matter” press conference Wednesday afternoon at 2 PM near the scene of the shooting. 

He's asking why no one is speaking up about the shooting that sent 9 people to the hospital on McCullock Street near Eliza Sunday. 

The Fort Wayne Police Department is still investigating and hasn't arrested anyone yet, and Reverend Lynch says that's because no one will speak up. 

He says in a press release that black lives only matter when it's a national injustice like what happened to Michael Brown or Trayvon Martin.
