FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The jobless rate for the Fort Wayne metro area is virtually unchanged from last year.

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says the region’s jobless rate dropped half of a percent between August and September of this year to 3.8%, which is identical to the number it was in September 2015.

The department collected data from Allen, Wells and Whitley counties for the assessment. Unemployment statewide sits at 4.5%.
