FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Fort Wayne may make it easier to build sober living homes.

The city’s plan commission updated the zoning ordinance Monday to define sober living houses, treatment centers, and rehab facilities.

The change would allow sober living homes in any residential zone and provide clear rules for commercial treatment facilities.

The commission approved moving the proposal forward, and it will now go to City Council, likely in early 2026.
