FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Average retail gasoline prices in Fort Wayne have fallen 12.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.51 per gallon Sunday. This compares with the national average that has fallen 5.2 cents per gallon in the last week to $1.74 per gallon.

Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy says gas prices continue to plunge coast to coast as refiners continue to churn out winter-spec gasoline that will soon need to be purged. He adds that, in the days ahead, drivers can expect a seasonal “clearance sale” of gasoline to continue, leading to lower prices in most areas. Once the winter gas is gone, however, the upward trend will likely return.
