FWPD Investigating Afternoon Shooting At Canterbury Green Apartments

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a shooting reported Wednesday afternoon at the Canterbury Green apartment complex near Purdue University Fort Wayne.

According to WPTA, officers were called around 2:10 p.m. to the 2400 block of Abbey Drive after reports of shots fired in the area.

Police confirmed that one person was injured in the shooting.

The extent of the victim’s injuries has not been released.

Authorities have not yet identified a suspect or said what may have led to the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details are expected to be released as they become available.
