FWPD officer charged with OWI

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne Police Detective is on paid administrative leave after being arrested on drunk-driving charges.

48-year-old Stacey Jenkins was arrested and booked yesterday on an initial misdemeanor charge of operating while intoxicated, according to Fort Wayne’s NBC. It’s unclear whether or not Jenkins was on duty at the time he was being arrested.

The Board of Public Safety Works will review his case and decide the next steps to make from a personnel standpoint, while the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office will handle criminal proceedings.
