Giving Tuesday

INDIANA, (WOWO): We just went through Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, but now it's Giving Tuesday, part of a movement to create a national day of giving to kick off the giving season.

It's the second annual Giving Tuesday, which encourages and celebrates charitable activities that support non-profit organizations. The movement started in New York and quickly had the United Nations Foundation as a partner.

There were more than 2,500 partners in all 50 states last year. One company processed more than $10 million in online donations on Giving Tuesday last year, which was a double-digit increase over the same day a year before.

You can spread the word online by using #GivingTuesday on social media.
