Headwaters Park Sets Record Skating Season

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A record number of skaters came to the ice rink at Headwaters Park this year in Fort Wayne.

This season, nearly 27,000 visitors came to the rink. Geoff Paddock is the Executive Director of Headwaters Park and told the Journal Gazette, by the end of this weekend, the rink will surpass that number.


“We're anticipating good numbers this weekend. Particularly on Sunday to kind of close the season out.”

The rink's 12th season ends on Sunday at 8 p.m. There will be free admission to the rink starting at noon.

The March of Dimes Walk will open the spring season at Headwaters Park on April 25th.
