No Sentence Yet For Happy’s Pizza Founder

DETROIT (WOWO):: The founder of a pizza chain with a location in Fort Wayne may spend some time in prison soon.

Happy Asker appeared in federal court in Detroit Monday for his sentence, but no decision on a sentence was made.

That's because there is still a question over how much money the government lost when he concealed several millions of dollars of income.

Asker's attorneys are asking for community service instead of prison, saying Detroit Public Schools could benefit from Asker's entrepreneurial wisdom.

Asker was convicted in November of conspiracy and other crimes related to his money-hiding scheme.
