FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A new pilot grant program to beautify Fort Wayne neighborhoods has been launched.

Mayor Tom Henry announced today that applications are now being accepted for the Neighborhood Improvement Grant, which will award up to $5,000 to registered Fort Wayne neighborhood associations or one of the City’s four Area Partnerships.

Only neighborhoods with a majority of households at or below 80% of the area’s median income will be eligible. The money is coming from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and a total of $40,000 will be available through the program.
