HUNGTINGTON, Ind. (WOWO): Starting at 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, Hunting County will be going to a Warning Level Travel Status/Level One (1) Declared Emergency for the next 24 hours.
“A state of emergency has been declared by the Huntington County Commissioners. Travel is restricted to emergency personnel ONLY! Further restrictions may be included in the declaration.”
This is the highest level of local travel advisory, means that travel may be restricted to emergency management workers only. During a “warning” local travel advisory, individuals are directed to:
- (A) refrain from all travel;
- (B) comply with necessary emergency measures;
- (C) cooperate with public officials and disaster services forces in executing emergency operations plans; and
- (D) obey and comply with the lawful directions of properly identified officers.
Additionally, the Huntington County Commissioners have determined that the Huntington County Courthouse and associated services will be closed Tuesday. Employees will not report for duty.
