Huntington County Bridge Collapses Due to Flooding

ANDREWS, Ind. (WOWO): A railroad bridge in Andrews collapsed Tuesday morning due to heavy flooding.

Huntington County was hit hard by massive flooding, with nearly 80 thousand pounds of sand bags available for public use.

According to our Partners in News at 21Alive, the railroad bridge above the Little Rive collapsed not even an hour after a Norfolk and Southern train last crossed.

The collapse happened between 2 and 3 a.m.

No one was hurt and crews say they should have the bridge repaired by Wednesday afternoon.
